Cosmic Love Ensemble is a collective project composed of various musicians and friends from Los Angeles, all centering around the Cafe Ale studios in Eagle Rock. This group of people include Ale Cohen, Suzanne Kraft, SFV Acid, Sam Cooper, Casey Butler, Jimmy Tamborello, Daddy Differently, Piper Durabo, Skylar Kaplan, Austin Hickle, Andres Renteria, and probably others participated at some point in these sessions that took over the course of the past 10 years. The idea of calling this the Cosmic Love Ensemble comes from the creative process that similar collectives bands such as Cosmic Jokers, Love of Life Orchestra and Rainy Day had, where the members come and go, sometimes not even being aware of being part of it. With that in mind, Cosmic Love Ensemble captures a time and place in Los Angeles and a sound that is unfocused at times, and expansive at others.
