Homesick Fly lost soul As far as you can You don’t belong To this living hell Fly lost soul It’s my advice Don’t let yourself To die in pain Fly lost soul You’re dying here You don’t deserve To end this way Fly lost soul Don’t ever come back Don’t miss your chance You just should go Fly lost soul Don’t ever come back Don’t miss your chance You just should go

about

Languis first official release ever couldn't have been more appropriate at the time of its original release date back in 1997. The duo was just forming and both Ale and Marcos terribly missed their homes back in Buenos Aires. Los Angeles was new and so the sounds they were producing. After many trials and a long struggle to find its sound and identity, Languis came with these four songs that laid out the foundation of what the band was going to be about. Sounds from underwater, or were they from outer space? Long drives on the freeway to their place in Altadena, almost like the Autobahn, but in California. Palm trees that never influenced them, but records about them that did.

All of this was Homesick, a random attempt at being original and somehow succeeding at it. Composed before the internet bombarded us with so many influences, the references were ambiguous and far fetched, but it all made sense. Languis was here to stay, and a new home was found in a place that was meant to be used as a scape. Sick of home or homesick, that was the question they never answered.
